2nd international forum on poverty reduction to be held in Tashkent

The second international forum, organised by the Center for Economic Research and Reforms (CERR) together with the Uzbekistan Ministry of Employment and Poverty Reduction, will study the best practices and methods of global poverty alleviation, in addition to the effectiveness of Uzbekistan's own efforts to reduce domestic poverty which have been consistently implemented in state policy. The forum will be attended by Abhijit Banerjee, co-founder and co-director of the Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL), which is expected to sign a joint action programme with CERR during the event.
