Côte d’Ivoire /Evaluation des politiques publiques: Nialé Kaba lance la formation d’une quarantaine de fonctionnaires du pays
The Minister of Economy, Planning and Development of Côte d'Ivoire, Nialé Kaba, announces the launch of a civil servant training programme implemented through partnership with the Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL), the French Development Agency (AFD) and the École Nationale Supérieure de l'Électronique et de ses Applications (ENSEA).
“The ceremony that brings us together today is the culmination of the strategic partnership between the State of Côte d'Ivoire, the French Development Agency (AFD), the J-PAL laboratory and ENSEA. It takes on a solemn character by marking the official launch of a new training in public policy evaluation developed by ENSEA, and the J-PAL Laboratory, for civil servants and professionals of the Ivorian public service,” declared the Minister of Economy, Planning and Development, Nialé Kaba.
She was speaking at the launching ceremony of the training in public policy evaluation, intended for civil servants and professionals of the Ivorian public service which was held this Monday, January 15, 2024 at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Statistique et d'Economie Applied from Abidjan (Ensea) to Abidjan-Cocody.
According to Nialé Kaba, the objective is to train around forty participants per year in the key concepts of rigorous impact evaluation, while transmitting a culture of proof in the design and implementation of development policies. Continuing, the Economist Statistician reveals that “the training will allow our country to have national expertise in the area of impact assessment of public policies”.
