J-WAFS researchers announced as one of the recipients of Mass Ventures 'Acorn innovation award' for portable desalination technology

Two researchers from the Abdul Latif Jameel Water and Food Systems Lab (J-WAFS) at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Jongyoon Han and Junghyo Yoon, were announced as recipients of Mass Ventures' Fall 2022 Acorn Innovation Award. The team was awarded for their development of a portable desalination technology that is powered by solar batteries. The innovation is a 2021 J-WAFS Solutions Grant winner and has gone on to be developed into a company, NONA Technologies.
