Mohammed Abdul Latif Jameel ’78 to receive honorary knighthood

Mohammed Abdul Latif Jameel KBE ’78, founder and chairman of Community Jameel as well as benefactor of several programmes at MIT including the Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL) and the Abdul Latif Jameel Water and Food Systems Lab (J-WAFS), will receive an honorary knighthood from Queen Elizabeth II. Jameel is a lifetime member of the MIT Corporation, the institute’s governing body.
