Muziek verzacht pijn: de Nederlandse zorgsector wil kunst en muziek aan het bed
Hospitals and art institutions call on the Dutch government to expand the presence of arts and culture in healthcare. Christopher Bailey, co-founder of the Jameel Arts and Health Lab and the arts and health lead at at the World Health Organisation (WHO), authored a 2019 report for the organisation, outlining the scientific evidence for the impact of arts on health. Speaking at an arts in health symposium held in Groningen, Christopher notes, "Evidence-based medicine is a ticket to talking to doctors," adding that while art may not be the cure, "it makes you see a path forward."
