Food trade and global change: Implications for food security in an increasingly uncertain world

Synopsis

At the 2024 edition of the prestigious Norman E. Borlaug Dialogue, convened alongside the World Food Prize presentation in Des Moines, Iowa, the Abdul Latif Jameel Water and Food Systems Lab (J-WAFS) at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) convenes a breakout session with representatives from the private sector and multilateral institutions.

Exploring multidisciplinary research and cross-sector collaborations towards addressing challenges to global food security, the session includes the launch of the Jameel Index for Food Trade and Vulnerability, hosted by MIT J-WAFS for the Food and Climate Systems Transformation (FACT) Alliance.
