Harvesting data, harvesting food: Data modelling, forecasting and early warning for food security policy
Synopsis
Hosted at the Islamic Development Bank pavilion at COP27 in Sharm El-Sheikh egypt, this panel event will explore how climate change impacts the long-term agricultural production and wow we can utilise research and data to help inform how governments plan for change in current production techniques.
The discussion will highlight the significant changes country’s agriculture sector will undergo in the long-term and how more prescise data is needed to help counteract those changes and ensure food security. We will also use the event as an opportunity to officially launch the CREWSNET platform.
